Chorus: I'm going slowly, slowly down the road I'm taking it easy, easy oh my lord They call me a stroller, I don't know why With their hectic life, all day they cry Living for working instead of working for living But don't you see baby their life is like "Metro-boulot-dodo" Chorus (2x) Consumed with my thoughts, I was strolling down the park When something suddenly urged me to stop And then I said: Oh Lord, what the hell are you doing here? - I thought I'd come down and we could grab a beer Chorus (2x)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

There's a place I like to go as of late, it's by the Watergate Where streams come crashing down in torrents after all these weeks of rain And faint are the traces of the mazes of the urban spaces Ten-floor tenement towers that the horizon hazes Other than that some rusty ships, ghostly glow when daylight tips Skinny trees and barren fields, into winter sleep the country slips I go here on quit mornings when uni isn't calling Staring at the waters and my worries which are swiftly falling I feel complete here, we often can not see clearly With a thousand stories stuffed into our ears, leave us confused and weary Serious and light is the state of mind I find With the natural sadness of being alive always in sight I'm expanding into the evening crimson blue Where on dream bubble bursts while another one comes true I'm full of gladness, exalted sadness And my lips are longing for the chance to unravel I'm happy alone, I'm happy as such But every cell of my bones yearns for your touch At every turn there is flux, but I've learned oh so much And if there's one thing I know it's I prefer to say "us" Instead of "me" or "you" - life is there to be shared I wanna bridge separation and heat up this chilly air I wanna be there, wanna spend the night with you hugging and talking Once I'm done walking Chorus (2x): Cause to me you're caramel you're Marzipan you're blackberries You're all the good things that reverberate in my reveries You're sharp night air and the yellow light that glows To me you're a guitar/ clarinet/ cello that goes I've been gathering nuts, all summer, all fall I've been writing in notebooks, been writing on walls I've been trying to chase clouds but they disseminate between my hands I've turned around the hourglass for hours, staring at the sand I've been gathering nuts, all summer, all fall I've been writing in notebooks, been writing on walls I've been trying to chase clouds but they disseminate between my hands I've turned around the hourglass for hours Chorus (4x)

Sweetie, what's up today? Tomorrow seems scary but yesterday was crazy Sweetie, what's up today? When does the concert start? When does the war start? Chorus (2x): We'll fill the present time because it's the only one that's real, We'll fill the present time because it's the only one that's worth it, And meanwhile, God laughs! From May to March a beautiful melon stands on front of the hotel, But who'd ever belong to this place anyway? From November to December the leaves fall into the bathtub, because the roof disappeared years ago Tents, revolution, Halloween, Hannukkah, It all sounds nice and calm, So what will we do? What is our specific mission? Sweetie, what will we do today Chorus (2x) Sweetie, what's up today? Up there, God laughs As loud as he can, God laughs And me too.

Once again the good vibes and chill beats and smooth lines Once again the syllables that fly their roller coaster rides I offer you my heart, I open up to the air around A person is somebody is suffused with sound I invite, I delight you, I incite you, I write you Love letters unconditional that go right through Like haiku I capture moments that we're moving in Capture sunshine that's a bound to melt the blues within I'm constantly drooping, the abyss is near I'm constantly scooping for the origins of fear Teargas - that's what the morning light is like sometimes When hopelessness whispers and my ears in broken rhymes But this life is mine and I am filling it with soul And deliberately in the eddies I loll See me roll, see me flow, gently just a-down the stream Enjoying every rock till the final salt of the sea Waterfalls don't get me and the fish accept me Being a fellow traveler in this adventure that it is to be History is reaching out for us but undefined we're free I wonder why, constantly but the morning's fresh in itself So I go out and leave my books on the shelves To enjoy - Juicy Fruit Sunlight spots on my skin like a flute melody I'm flo-floating around like some loot in the sea I'm a true devotee of a true way to be Be human and free, ruthlessly choose to see See things the way they are and not just the way I like them to Cause everybody seems to be wearing blinkers down in the avenue It's such a good thing to be having you, sisters and brothers who walk on through Staying in my bubble isolated I'm refusing to It's oozing through the soothing truth that every new day is a juicy fruit An offer no taker, sweet or bitter, yellow, red or blue So come on mate let's appreciate These mesmerizing multitudes of moulds that we create Don't be afraid just appreciate There's plenty plenty of time to go wherever, be wherever, do whatever Juicy Fruit !

Oh Misses Optimism I'm stuck in tunnel vision Clouds hanging low Got nowhere to go Oh Misses Optimism Why don't you sit and listen The blues Got even down to my shoes All day long I sing that song Cause I am so blue Misses Optimism, come to Mama do Optimisme, optons pour une solution, socialisme Meme si souvent vandalisme, ils sont tous vendus Dualisme, du toi et du moi, nous devenons novateurs Un, deux, troi petit tours et puis s'en vont Fondateurs, visitons les fondations, tourisme, rions, rien que pour ceux qui pensent si souvent a tous ces-isms Miss Optimisme, s'il te plait, donne-nous le sourire, sans quoi avant l'heure on risue de tous mourir.

about

People out there !

We are delighted to present our first album released in August 2013 in Barcelona, bearing the same name as we do: Santaï. This album is the product of almost two years of musical and creative working since we formed in 2011 in Maastricht; 8 tracks, more than 30 minutes of music and stories. Download the album digitally for free or buy the actual CD (please read the note on our pricing policy below). Also, if you like our music feel invited to share it with friends, family and strangers!

For more information on us, don´t forget to check out our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/SantaiMusic and our webpage: santaimusic.com

Our pricing policy:

We love music and we love making music; and we wouldn´t want to miss it. As such creating this album and writing songs was fun, but it also cost(s) a whole lotta energy and money. We are happy if we can bring joy among people with this music and are happy to share it for free !
Yet, we do highly welcome donations to help us exist, travel to maintain a band-long-distance-relationship and to buy equipment - in short donations to continue with our musical project. So if you like our music and want us to continue and get more of this music in the future, paying a couple of euros will help us - a lot!
If you don´t have the financial means to support us or can not overcome your laziness to do a money transfer, you can also help us in different ways: Share and spread our music, like our FB page, invite us to concerts/ festivals etc. - anything will do ;).

A big Santaï hug and unconditional love :) !
